Seattle WordPress Development

WordPress is the most popular content management solution (CMS) in the world and it only continues to grow in popularity. Over 58.5% of sites that use a CMS are using WordPress and 2nd place is Joomla at only 7.2%. WordPress has grown dramatically from the days when it was known as a place to create a blog, BBC America, MTV, Best Buy, Xerox and many more brands are using WordPress.

What does WordPress look like on the Back End?

There is an impressive dashboard for WordPress when you login as an admin (as a tip, you can almost always login in to your WP admin page at YOURDOMAINNAME.com/wp-admin) you will see a list of options on the left hand side that will guide you. This dashboard will allow you to add text, images, video and all sorts of great content to your site after we are done building it. If you want to see what the WordPress admin section looks like check out this post we wrote.

Can I Have a Custom Design with WordPress?

With WordPress you can have 100% completely custom design. You will want to make sure you have some great product or company images so we can showcase your business to the world. When we are ready to get started the process for your Seattle WordPress site will follow the same web development process of all of our projects.

WordPress Plugins

Plugins are how your WordPress website can come to life. We love Gravity Forms for contact form management (and much more) as well as the Types and Options Framework for styling content. We try not to go overboard with plugins as that requires management and updating each quarter when a new WordPress version comes out.

WordPress Hosting

Ambaum can host your WordPress site on one of our Virtual Private Servers. We will monitor uptime and handle any issues that arise with hosting so you don’t have to.

WordPress & eCommerce = WooCommerce

If you have us build your WordPress site and later on decide you want to start selling products online we can help you implement WooCommerce. WooCommerce is a WordPress plugin that will allow you to add products, have a cart and checkout page as well as customized order emails that go to your customers as well as you the client. In addition there is a new section in the left navigation of the WordPress dashboard that will show your daily, weekly and monthly sales via the site.
